Each day we hike one of the mostly moderate trails of Acadia National Park guided by Joan Jordan Grant.  Each daily hike offers a new perspective on transforming leaps of faith. Join us for a day hike, or for 2-6 days as an overnight guest at the Center and enjoy the rest of the day at your own rhythm. Conversations, individual solitude, meditation, book reading and the arts enhance the deepening of each hike as a spiritual practice.

Limited to 8 guests, these retreats offer an experience of community and delight.

Deep Rest and Renewal Retreats

Come for a 2-7 days as your schedule allows and let the rest deepen, strengthen and inspire you

After time spent at the wellspring of silence and solitude we return to our work and life with clarity, kindness and deep hope.

Poetry and sacred texts will be our guides in an early morning hour of meditation and shared reflection on a theme.We warmly welcome you to join in any way you wish in our daily rhythm of prayer and work, silence and conversation, community and solitude.

Individual Spiritual Direction is available upon request.

Deepening Intensives

We offer opportunities to join with others to take up a particular teaching in depth. Experiential, practical, intending to deepen one's capacity to be of service in the world. Church Retreats and Sabbaticals

Churches


We invite churches to design their own retreat time with us, or ask our assistance in planning a retreat for small groups. We welcome church committees, diaconates, vestries, staff, youth, prayer groups, Bible studies, or any other church pilgrims.

Sabbaticals


Pastors and churches on sabbatical may want to spend part of their time with us in rest or renewal of spiritual life. We have some accommodations for long-term stays as well as shorter periods. We are glad to work with you to plan your time with us in study, rest, prayer, work, and play.
