Alcyon Breakfasts

Come for silent prayer, breakfast potluck and thoughtful conversation around the kitchen table.

While planning our new main house at the Alcyon Center, a friend suggested that we surround our dining table with an eckbank. After we learned that an eckbank is a corner bench - sometimes a window seat - around a kitchen table, we agreed. So we have a lovely, sunny eckbank surrounding our kitchen table. We imagine it serving as the locus for many transformative conversations. Once a month we are inviting guests to join us for a simple breakfast following the night of Soul Friends. Both men and women are welcome to the breakfasts. Conversation will follow a spiritual thread unwinding from the mysterium tremendum.
